Ever dreamt of owning your own nightclub? Now is your chance! The building that used to house Belgian club ‘Reflex Club’ is now for sale. Bidding starts at 470.000 euro but if you look at the pictures below, you will learn that a lot more money is needed if you ever want to open it again as the club currently looks like a ruin.
Reflex Club was a famous ‘allround’ nightclub that closed the doors in 2015, after 29 years of business. In the last years of it’s existence, like all Belgian clubs, it was very hard to keep attracting visitors every weekend, and when a safe full of money got stolen after their famous ‘Beachweekend’, the owner decided to pull the plug.
In 2016, only a couple of months after the closure, the new owner re-opened the club and the “creative” director changed the name from Reflex Club to Club Reflex. The new name and management couldn’t turn the tide and a year after the opening, they were not able to attract enough people to keep the club profitable. In december 2017, the management closed the club for 8 months for a serious renovation but the club never opened again.
Another piece of Belgian clubbing history that disappears.
One of the last parties, in June 2017 was Imperial Hardcore XXL, where two of our residents Evolver and The Snatcher performed.
This is how the building looks like now (pictures are propery of Zimmo.be):
